6/4/06 12:52 pm - Umbilical Brothers

OK, it's my turn to update again, as me and Rowan are sort of taking it in turns to write in here. So hi, it's Sinead (The Pirate) here.

Yesterday night we went to see the Umbilical Brothers, in The Rehearsal. It was a really great show - very, very funny. The video camera stunts were awesome. If you get a chance to see this show, do. It's well worth it.

The guys came out after the show, and they were both really nice and chatty. They signed a few things for us, and we joked around a bit, and just generally had a nice time. There was a funny moment where Rowan and I unpinned two of their show posters from the pin-up board behind us, and then a guy nearby asked where I got the poster from, so I told him I just stole it off the wall, so he took one too! As he was taking one, Dave looked up and stopped mid-conversation with someone else and just yelled out, "They're stealing the posters!... That must be a good sign." The sudden outburst scared us a bit, but it was really funny. Then when we got up to the little signing table, I put out the poster for them, and Dave looked up and said, "Thief!" and so I promised I'd bring it back, and that I was only borrowing it. That poster now has a place on my bedroom wall, just above my bed. Yay!

To top off the night, we were sort of leaving, but after we came out of the toilets, the guys were still just hanging around near the little table and merchandise counter, and Rowan went and asked them for photos. They happily posed with us, and we got some ripper shots. Then we all got hugs from both of them. I got two from Dave! ("Can you... squeeze me?... Oh nah, harder" - That was..... interesting. Yes... Funny though!)

Overall, it was a great night. Rowan would like to add, "If you go to see the show, watch out for the threatening bears." I agree. Those bears sure were threatening. Although, they weren't actually bears. They were a possum and a wombat actually. But still...

We might post up some photos later.

Peace out!

6/3/06 11:49 am - Ooh it's a fic.

Title: Just What I Always Wanted

Author: The Goat

Fandom: AusComedy

Pairing: Adam Hills/Hamish Blake

PoV: It changes (between Hamish, Adam and Andy[Lee]), but there is a name in bold to indicate whose it is at the time. It also snaps back and forward in time between PoVs sometimes. Shouldn’t be too confusing. And it’s all in third person.

Summary: Everyone who is a Spicks and Specks fan saw A Very Specky Christmas. And everyone who saw A Very Specky Christmas couldn’t have missed the kiss of the night, shared by Adam Hills and Hamish Blake. But what went through their heads in the few magical moments in which their bodies were one?...

Notes: Written a while ago, only just got somewhere to put it. It’s a shorty.

Please critique, it makes me feel guilty for some reason but I know I always need it. :3

6/3/06 02:33 am - Double the trouble!

Yep, you heard right folks. Both of us are here. And by both of us, I mean Rowan and the amazing me, aka Sinead.

On this LJ we're going under pseudonyms, but our real names will pop up more often than the fake ones will. Anyway, Rowan, loving goats, is The Goat. And I, being a big fan of all things piratey, am The Pirate. So together we come to you as - The Goat and The Pirate!

Anywho, on this account, we will both be posting. Each of us will use a different icon, so that you may tell our entries apart with ease.

Whenever this icon appears, it is Rowan who is posting:

Similarly, whenever this icon comes up, I'm the one writing:

And, if you see this icon (which was awesomely invented and created by the two of us), it means that either both of us are at the computer, or we're just being different:

There will be other additional icons later, so keep an eye out. Also, the layout we have now may just be temporary. I only threw it together tonight so that we had something more interesting than a black and white LJ. Although I kinda like it, so it may stick around for a while.

That's about all I have time for now, as it is very late/early, and I really need to sleep. Most of our future posts will probably be at slightly more resonable times of the day. Or here's hoping, anyway.

So, friend us if you want, coz that's what we're here for! That, and we needed a place to post up fanfic, pics and other such stuff, so hopefully people reading this will take the time to view/read/comment on our work that we will soon start posting up.

Peace out!
